In a candid moment, Shawn Mendes said he’s “figuring out” his sexuality and that the speculation he has faced is “such an intrusion.” The 26-year-old singer-songwriter addressed the audience during a show in Colorado on Monday night.

Mendes followed his comments by performing an unreleased song, The Mountain, seemingly inspired by the topic.

The artist has been addressing rumours about his sexuality for years; the first time was in 2016 when he was 17 years old.
