Thousands of Quebec students strike in solidarity with Palestinians

Thousands of university and college students in Quebec have declared a 48-hour strike in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

With demonstrations planned for the next two days, some school campuses have cancelled classes and are calling for calm.

Students are calling for universities to divest and sever financial ties with Israel in its ongoing war on Hamas.
