A pair of class-action lawsuits in the U.S. have named two Canadian food companies as alleged members of a “potato cartel.”

McCain Foods and Cavendish are accused of taking part in a campaign to fix prices on frozen potato products and maintain their dominance in a market worth nearly $70 billion annually.
